  COOKING TIP OF THE WEEK

To determine when avocado is soft enough to eat, hold the fruit in the palm of the hand and gently squeeze with all fingers -- do not press with the thumbs. If the flesh is firm but yields under slight pressure, the avocado is ready to be eaten. Bonus Tip: crème fraîche is thickened cream with a tangy, nutty taste.
